Welsh Harlequins Ducks
The Welsh Harlequins Ducks have its origin in Wales. They are considered as a dual purpose duck that is; they are brought up in poultries both for eggs and also for meat. It is easy to make a distinction among the males and females of this breed. The drakes have greenish black head with a thin white collar encircling the neck. The rest of the body color is white with brown feathers in some regions of the body. The drakes weigh generally between 5-6 pounds. They are also a bit upright in appearance than the ducks. The ducks have a weigh that varies between 4-5 pounds. They are considered as the excellent layers because they lay about 260-300 eggs per year. The color of their eggs is white or green. They are also of good temperament and not of wild nature. Sometimes they are found to be a bit timid. They always move in pairs or three at a time.
