Swedish Yellow Ducks

Some of the rarest species of ducks are the Swedish Yellow Ducks. This is produced as a result of cross-breed technique from the Swedish Blue Ducks. They are present only in some of the places of Sweden. Body color is yellow and some of the varieties are black headed. Many of them have white plumage. Their bill is of medium length but flattened in shape. The Swedish Yellow Ducks are mainly reared for their eggs. It lay about 100-120 eggs every year in specific seasons of the year. The ducklings are creamy yellow colored and take about 4-6 weeks to reach the stage of maturity. The Swedish Yellow Ducks are found to be good mothers as they take immense care of their babies. The males of this breed generally weigh around 8-8.5 pounds while the females weigh around 7-8 pounds. The Swedish Yellow Ducks are seldom found to roam single. They prefer mainly to remain in groups and don’t like to remain enclosed in cages for a longer time.
