Pekin Ducks

Pekin ducks have their origin in China and are considered as the most pricelist duck. This is because the eggs and meat of these ducks are much delicious and both used for consumption. The meat is especially rich in proteins, carbohydrates and other minerals and vitamins. Pekin ducks are only available in a single color variety and that is white. They are short billed and its color is orange. The color of their legs is also orange. White plumage is present in this breed. The drakes of this breed weigh about 11-12 pounds and the ducks weigh about 9-10 pounds. Pekin ducks lay about 80-100 eggs every year. The eggs are generally white in color and weighs about 65-75g. The core problem with this breed is that they are not found to sit in a place and that is why faces problem during incubation. So during this time incubation can be carried on non-naturally. It is considered as a wild bird and requires a free space to move around.
