Orpington Ducks
The Orpington Ducks also sometimes referred as Buff ducks because of their similarity in breed structure. They have their origin in the Kent County in England. It is a dominant breed and is mainly produced as a result of cross-breed technique between the Rouen, Aylesbury and the Runner races of ducks. These ducks are mainly creamy brown colored or whitish brown toned. They have long bill which is yellow or brown in color. Due to their nature and appearance they are reared as a show bird and also for meat and eggs. The males of this breed weigh around 5-6 pounds while the females weigh about 4-5 pounds or less. It is found to lay about 180-200 eggs per year. Color of the eggs is white and the ducklings take a short amount of time to get matured. The Orpington Ducks are not found to fly but likes to swim. They often move around in groups in the nearby lands.
