Golden Cascade Ducks

The Golden Cascade Ducks are reared in many poultry farms of today in many countries. Their body color is yellowish beige or creamy brown. The latter variety birds are generally black headed. Both the varieties posses a thin white collar in the neck region and white plumage. In case of the drakes the white collar is more prominent than in the ducks. The bill is medium in length and colored black or yellow. It is often proposed that the drakes are those which have yellow bill and the ducks are with grey black bill. The color of their legs is orange or brown. The average weight of the drakes is about 7-8 pounds while that of the ducks is around 5-6 pounds. They generally lay eggs throughout the year but is found to take a gap of few months in between. The ducklings are creamy white or light brown in color. They are brought up in the poultries both for eggs and also for meat.
