Elizabeth Ducks
The Elizabeth Ducks has their origin in Australia especially in the region of New South Wales. Categorized mainly as good tempered ducks they are common in many poultries, farm houses and also in many homes. They are of mainly two varieties both of which are common. One is the black headed with whitish brown colored body and the other is the coffee colored one with black and brown spots over the body. The black varieties have a whitish knot in the neck region. It possesses a long and stretched bluish grey bill. Legs are either grey or light brown. This is a more dominant breed produced by the technique of cross-breed between Mallards and Rouen Claire. The drakes generally weigh around 3-4 pounds while the ducks weigh around 2-3 pounds. They are mainly found moving in groups and like to stay mostly on land. They are common in whole of Australia and consumed mainly for its meat.
