Duclair Ducks

The Duclair Ducks are those breeds which has its origin in France. Especially in the area of Normandy in France, this breed was found to develop initially. These ducks are mainly of two varieties. One is black and the other is blue which is uncommon in the poultry farms. A white patch is always found in the neck region of the Black Duclair Ducks. It has also a long bill. The plumage is stacked with dry black feathers. The drakes of this breed are about 6-7 pounds in weight and the ducks weigh about 5-6 pounds. The Duclair ducks lay about 80-100 eggs or more very year. The eggs are dark green and are about 60-65g in weight. This breed is categorized as a good forager. They can easily manage their food from the pond and the nearby lands and likes to consume slugs and snails. The meat and eggs of the Duclair Ducks are consumed.
