Cayuga Ducks

The Cayuga Ducks have their origin in the United States of America. They are generally stretched bodied ducks that distinguishes them from other types of ducks. These breeds are available either in dark black colors of in white with grey and black spots over the body. The plumage often consists of grey feathers. The Cayuga Ducks have sharp and pointed bill. These breeds has an average body weight of 6-9 pounds but sometimes the females weigh lesser than 5 pounds. The females are sometimes seen to fly around but not up to a considerable height. The Cayuga ducks lays eggs about 90-100 per year and the color of the eggs are dark brown or grayish white. The ducklings’ takes a good amount of time to mature. These ducks are always kept in groups or pair because they don’t wish to move single. Water is their favorite place to stay most of the time and they don’t prefer to remain in cages for a longer period.
