Call Ducks

Call ducks are the most popular varieties of ducks found in different countries. One cannot distinguish a Call duck on the basis of its color because there are many colors of these breeds. Call ducks are generally short billed and its color also varies with the body color. Sometimes they are yellow, orange, grey, black or any other. As mentioned earlier, a Call duck is found in many colors. It can be completely white or grey, dark yellowish, chocolate brown, blue and the like. The legs are generally orange in most cases or otherwise grey. England is the country of its origin and today often these varieties of Call Ducks are cross-breeded to produce a better race. The males weigh about 2 pounds and the females weigh about 1-1.5 pounds. They have generally a stout appearance irrespective of their sex. Call ducks have a triple purpose. They are reared both for eggs and meat and also used as show birds especially the white Calls.
