Black East Indies Ducks
The Black East Indies Ducks are a different variety of breed and are easy to distinguish from a flock of other ducks. This is because of their body color which is generally greenish dark or shinning green-black. They are short billed whose color is black. They legs are either grey or black. Some of the females have white plumage in their tail region also. The drakes weighs about 5-6 pounds and the ducks weighs about 4-5 pounds. The color of their ducklings is solid black and then generally develops the greenish tinge with maturity. The Black East Indies Ducks are a dominant and stronger variety of ducks. They don’t like to remain on a place for a longer period of time due to their industrious nature. The arresting feature about the Black East Indies Ducks is that their eggs are initially deep grey but then transforms to light grey during the laying period.
