Aylesbury Ducks

The Aylesbury Ducks are one of the most favored breeds that are reared in the poultries. It has its origin in the UK in the town of Aylesbury thus getting its so-called name from here. Their body color is completely white with big white feathers. They are short billed which is faded pink in color and the color of their legs is orange. The drakes of this breed weigh about 10-12 pounds while the females weigh about 8-10 pounds. The Aylesbury Ducks lays about 100-150 eggs per year. The color of the eggs is white. It has been seen that these ducks are a bit languid and gets easily tamed. They don’t show any such wild temperament. The main reason for which they are reared is because of the meat which is a favorite food for many. They don’t prefer so much to remain on land and so they are not kept in cages for a longer time. Ponds are their favorite place to stay.
